A kind of the traditional social security exists since many generations in the rural areas in Africa.
The village people help each other to avoid hunger. If a family don't have any food more
it goes to the neighbors or to the relatives and because of the old custom they are obligated
to give the hungry family something to eat. The bad side of this custom is, that it's not worth for the
people to strive to be reach, because they have to share their richness with the family or friends.
This custom is one of the main sources for the corruption problems in Africa. The people
which achieved power try to promote their family and friends to minimize the sharing of their properties.
The other result of this custom is
the "laziness" of the African people: the stimulus to be successful and reach is very weak,
if you have to share the fruits of your hard work with people, who didn't contribute anything
to your success.
