The Murchison Falls on the Victoria Nile gives the name the Murchison Falls
National Park.
The waterfalls are the park's most striking geographical feature. Notable not so much for its size (43 m high) as for its immense power. The 50 m - wide Nile is funnelled into a 7 m - wide cleft in the rocks and then virtually shooting out from the other side. |
